About this role
About the role: - Investigate new language models, AI platforms, and development frameworks to assess their capabilities and fit for newsroom and content production use cases. - Compare different models on metrics including accuracy, output quality, processing speed, and operational cost to inform tool selection decisions. - Prototype prompt strategies, chatbot interactions, multi-step agent workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation systems to understand their strengths and limitations. - Create working versions of experimental systems and write up what you learn so the team can build on your findings. What you'll work on: - Hands-on testing of cutting-edge AI tools in a real media environment. - Performance benchmarking across multiple LLM providers and open-source options. - Documentation that translates technical findings into actionable insights for product and editorial teams. - Iterative refinement of prompts and system architectures based on observed results. What we're looking for: - Currently enrolled in a B.Tech, B.E., or degree program in Computer Science, IT, AI/ML, or related discipline. - Working proficiency in Python. - Ability to work with REST APIs. - Aptitude for structured research, logical analysis, and breaking down complex problems. - Genuine curiosity and willingness to dive into unfamiliar tools and techniques. Bonus experience: - Prior work with OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Hugging Face, or LangChain.
