About the role: - Build and expand a supplier base across your assigned geography, identifying and onboarding new vendors - Scout emerging markets and production areas to maintain uninterrupted product flow - Achieve and sustain 100% fill rates across all inventory requirements - Ensure every shipment meets agreed quality standards before dispatch - Procure stock directly at farm gate level, working closely with farming communities - Coordinate and oversee third-party workforce engaged in logistics and supply operations - Meet all agreed timelines and processes for stock sourcing and movement - Handle vendor payments promptly and maintain positive supplier relationships - Complete all required documentation in line with organizational procedures What you'll bring: - Comfort with frequent travel and hands-on work in rural and agricultural settings - Strong ability to negotiate terms and reach agreements with diverse supplier groups - Clear communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across communities and teams - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Analytical mindset to assess supply chains and identify improvements - Capability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders - Sound grasp of agricultural and perishable product quality standards - Willingness to engage directly with farmers and build lasting working relationships About this opportunity: - Full-time role with Trent Hypermarket Pvt Ltd - Position based in rural areas where you'll manage supply networks at source - Blend of procurement, vendor management, and community engagement work
