Junior R&D Engineer (GEN AI/ML)

About the role: - Contribute to research and development initiatives focused on generative AI and machine learning technologies - Work alongside senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and test AI/ML solutions - Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept through deployment and iteration - Support debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of AI and machine learning systems What you'll work on: - Building and refining Python-based scripts and automation tools for AI/ML workflows - Exploring and implementing generative AI concepts, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and related foundational techniques - Contributing to version control workflows using Git and similar systems - Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to translate research into practical implementations - Testing and validating AI/ML models and systems through structured methodologies What we're looking for: - Strong foundational knowledge of Python for scripting and automation tasks - Working grasp of AI and machine learning concepts and how generative AI systems operate - Ability to learn rapidly and absorb new technical domains with motivation and focus - Analytical mindset with both creative and structured approaches to problem-solving - Experience or familiarity with debugging techniques and troubleshooting complex systems - Intellectual curiosity about emerging technologies and a desire to stay current with AI/ML advances - Proactive collaborator who communicates effectively across different teams and disciplines - Comfort adapting to shifting priorities and iterative development cycles - Understanding of software testing practices and development lifecycle fundamentals Nice to have: - Experience with C++ or C# programming languages - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
