About the role: - Investigate merchant needs by distinguishing between what customers ask for and what will actually solve their problem - Decompose ill-defined problems into discrete, testable pieces with clear success criteria - Analyse raw data independently and form conclusions before being asked for input - Observe product performance in production environments, including failure modes like cancelled rides and failed transactions - Contribute to prioritization decisions for upcoming builds and articulate the reasoning behind your choices, including features deliberately deprioritized - Assess outcomes after each release and provide direct feedback on whether objectives were met What we're looking for: - Instinct to dig deeper when something goes wrong—you probe root causes rather than just documenting symptoms - Ability to write clearly and structure complex ideas for others - Comfort converting business objectives into quantifiable metrics and using data to drive decisions - Willingness to work with incomplete, messy, or ambiguous datasets - Genuine interest in how restaurants and retail operations function - Mindset that treats product development as an iterative learning process
