Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Intern

About the role

• Interns will take on engineering challenges at a forward-deployed position within VANCO AI, working hands-on with real systems and production environments.
• You'll build, test, and deploy software solutions that power AI-driven applications.
• The role involves integrating AI models, APIs, and third-party services into functional systems.
• You'll participate in debugging and solving technical problems in a fast-moving startup setting.

What you'll work on

• Developing backend systems and software infrastructure using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Creating and maintaining APIs that connect different parts of the application.
• Implementing and refining AI and machine learning components.
• Testing solutions to ensure reliability before deployment.
• Collaborating with the team to identify and fix technical issues quickly.

What we're looking for

• Currently in your 8th semester or a recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong programming skills paired with solid problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with software development practices, API design, and backend architecture.
• Experience or comfort with AI and ML tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of third-party service and API integration is valued.
• Sharp debugging skills and a logical, analytical approach to challenges.
• Clear communication ability, particularly when explaining technical work to others.
• Comfort presenting and discussing your projects in detail.
