About the role: - Build backend services and systems using Java, with a focus on creating robust and maintainable applications - Design and develop REST APIs that power web and mobile applications - Work with relational databases and optimize SQL queries for performance - Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement What we're looking for: - Solid grasp of Java fundamentals and Object-Oriented Programming principles - Hands-on experience with Spring Boot framework for building scalable applications - Competence in SQL and relational database design and management - Working knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms - Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development - Ability to produce code that is clean, easy to understand, and built for scale - Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to troubleshoot issues systematically - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort working as part of a team
