Software Development - Intern

About this role

About the role: - Create and sustain applications across multiple programming languages, frameworks and tech stacks as projects demand, with emphasis on TypeScript work - Engineer backend infrastructure including REST and GraphQL APIs, database layers, and third-party service connections - Construct and refine user-facing products—web interfaces, mobile apps, and interactive features—leveraging modern frontend libraries and tooling - Produce code that prioritizes clarity, testability and long-term maintainability through unit tests, integration tests and automated validation - Identify and resolve defects in live systems, analyse existing code patterns, apply fixes and optimise runtime behaviour and system stability - Participate in architectural discussions, contribute to new features, conduct peer code reviews, prepare technical documentation and oversee release processes What we're looking for: - Proficiency with JavaScript for both client and server environments - Working knowledge of React for building dynamic user interfaces - Experience or familiarity with Node.js for backend development - Hands-on experience with MongoDB for NoSQL data storage - Experience with PostgreSQL for relational database work - Familiarity with Claude for AI-assisted development - Experience using Cursor as a generative AI coding tool - Understanding of Vibe Coding practices and methodologies About the internship: - Gain exposure to full-stack software development across frontend and backend domains - Work directly with engineers on real projects and production systems - Learn industry practices in testing, code quality and deployment workflows - Develop proficiency in modern development tools and AI-assisted coding environments
