About this role
About the role: - Design, build and maintain large-scale data processing systems that handle petabytes of information across distributed infrastructure - Develop and optimize data pipelines using modern frameworks and tools to ensure reliable, low-latency data flow - Collaborate with data scientists and analytics teams to implement solutions that extract business value from massive datasets - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement improvements to maximize throughput and reliability What you'll work on: - Writing code in languages such as Java, Python or Scala for data processing applications - Working with technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka or similar distributed computing platforms - Building data warehouses and implementing ETL workflows - Managing cloud-based data infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP - Tuning queries and optimizing storage to reduce costs and improve speed What we're looking for: - Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and software engineering practices - Proficiency with at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering - Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases - Problem-solving ability and attention to detail in working with complex systems
