About the role: - Work with large-scale data systems to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies - Validate data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data infrastructure for accuracy and performance - Automate testing frameworks to ensure reliability across distributed data platforms - Identify bottlenecks and anomalies in data flows, then document findings for engineering teams What you'll work on: - Testing Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar big data technologies depending on project needs - Creating test cases that cover data quality, volume, velocity, and variety challenges - Monitoring system behavior under load and stress conditions - Collaborating with data engineers to reproduce and resolve defects What we're looking for: - Strong foundation in software testing principles and methodologies - Hands-on experience with at least one big data framework or platform - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala - Ability to write SQL queries to validate data correctness - Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
