About this internship
This internship is hosted by the chambers of the Deputy Advocate General for Punjab at the Punjab & Haryana High Court in Chandigarh. Interns will undertake substantive legal work including case research, preparation of court documents and applications, observation of court proceedings, and support with routine chamber activities. The programme is designed for law students with demonstrated aptitude in research and writing who wish to develop practical litigation skills. Participants will work directly within a government legal office, gaining insight into how appellate advocacy and public interest litigation operate in practice. The internship runs for the full month of August 2026 on a physical, in-person basis.
Who can apply
3rd, 4th, or 5th year students of 5-year law programmes; 2nd or 3rd year students of 3-year law programmes. Strong research and drafting skills required.
